The routine processes used to finish the die-cast parts include deburring, vibratory grinding, or abrasive shot blasting. Various types of coating can also be applied to zinc alloys to ensure corrosion resistance and possibly also other properties.
To improve corrosion resistance, castings can undergo galvanic or chemical coating processes. The routinely offered processes include:
- direct passivation
- ZnNi, ZnFe alloy coatings
- cataphoresis
- acidic and alkaline galvanization
- Delta Protect + Delta Seal
Decorative finish of castings can be achieved by the below treatments:
- chromium coating (glossy, matt)
- nickel plating
- powder coating
- other to customer requirements
